Mountaga Cissé

I am a computer science engineer, graduated in 2005 from the African Institute of Management of Dakar in Senegal (IAM), I am the co-founder and managing partner of the SIMTECH Media agency, a company specialized in consulting, integration and production of live-streaming, videoconferencing and remote working solutions.

I have more than 15 years of professional experience in the technology and telecommunications sector. First in computer engineering and IT services, my profile has evolved in new media from 2010.

It was in January 2016 that I launched the digital multimedia platform, Digital 24. This support is an evolution of the ITmag online media that I co-founded in 2009, as the first online web portal talking about ICT, technology and media in Senegal. ITmag was awarded the “Best ICT Content / Publication 2016” at the “Jambar Tech Awards” organized by the CTIC Dakar incubator.

In my activities as a trainer in new media, I offer my skills in institutes such as the Center for Studies in Information Science and Technology (CESTI) from the University of Dakar (UCAD) since 2012 and the Higher School of Journalism of the professions of Internet and Communication (EJICOM) since 2017.

Founding member of the network of bloggers of Senegal (RBS), I was also the Communication Secretary and Spokesperson of the Professionals Online Press Association of Senegal (APPEL), from 2015 to 2019.

Alumni at the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP USA 2017). Selected by the US State Department to participate in the IVLP program with 21 other nationalities in Washington DC, Annapolis, Boston, Cincinnati and Los Angeles.
The subject of the program focused on new media and traditional media.
“New and Traditional Broadcast Media”.
